Do I need a LinkedIn profile in Germany?

In IT, marketing, sales, finance and management: absolutely yes. LinkedIn has 20+ million users in Germany and is the most important channel for active sourcing — recruiters actively search for candidates daily. In trades, healthcare and the public sector it is less critical. Xing is still relevant in Germany, but LinkedIn has clearly taken the lead and offers international connectivity.
