What should I do if I don't receive a response to my application?

After 2 weeks without a response: Follow up once politely by email ('I applied for position X on [date] and would like to enquire whether my application was received in full'). If there is still no reply: Move on and invest your energy in other applications. Ghosting has unfortunately become the norm. Exception: If you have an internal contact, use them for a referral.
