For whom Xing is still worthwhile: SME sector (especially Mittelstand, trades, local businesses), non-international roles, public sector. For whom LinkedIn is better: International companies, tech, consulting, executives. Xing study: 70% of Xing recruiters in Germany also use LinkedIn in parallel -- maintaining both profiles is therefore worthwhile. Optimisation: Job title with keywords (used for search), complete career history, enter professional development. Caveat: Double investment in two profiles costs time -- prioritise LinkedIn if resources are limited.
