A transferable skills portfolio is an organised collection of abilities you have developed in one area that are applicable in another. Cedefop and ESCO define transferable skills as key professional competencies that apply across industries. Approach: (1) List all your demonstrable competencies from previous positions. (2) Map them to ESCO competency groups (analytical, communicative, leadership, digital, organisational). (3) Identify which are in demand in the target industry (analyse job adverts). (4) Prepare a STAR example for each transferable skill. WEF: Analytical thinking, creativity and adaptability are the most sought-after transferable skills in 2025.
